587. Deputy Kevin Humphreys asked the Minister for Health the primary care centres that are funded by his Department in areas of Dublin (details supplied); the funding that will be provided to each in 2013; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2370/13]
View answerThe Government is committed to moving the focus of health care from secondary care to primary care, key aspects of which include the continued development of Primary Care Teams and Primary Care Centres. Up to 95% of people's health and social service needs can be properly met within a primary care setting. The HSE has responsibility for the provision of Primary Care Centres, therefore, this matter has been referred to the HSE for attention and direct reply to the Deputy.
