128. Deputy Kevin Humphreys asked the Minister for Social Protection if she or her officials met any representatives of the tobacco industry in the last six months; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [3626/13]
View answerThere have been no meetings with the tobacco industry in the last six months. Officials from my Department’s Special Investigation Unit last met with representatives from the Irish Tobacco’s Manufacturer’s Association in November 2011 with regard to persons illegally trading in cigarettes whilst concurrently claiming social welfare payments.
