514. Deputy Patrick O'Donovan asked the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government the position regarding an application for a personal alarm in respect of a person (details supplied) in County Limerick; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [3847/13]

The Seniors Alert Scheme supports qualifying older people, aged 65 and older, by providing funding towards monitored personal alarms. Applications are made through the applicant’s local community or voluntary group. An application has not been received in my Department, to date, on behalf of the person referred to in the question.
