600. Deputy Michelle Mulherin asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the reason there is a delay in replacing the only surveyor of the Lands Branch, Legal Services Division of his Department which is currently prohibiting the implementation of a re-arrangement scheme (details supplied) in County Mayo negotiated and facilitated by the Irish Land Commission a number of years ago in view of the fact that there is no surveyor to prepare the necessary map to accompany the vesting order; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine

The re-arrangement survey in question was carried out recently by a private contractor. A number of issues still have to be resolved but the case is being worked on actively with a view to lodgement of a vesting order with the Property Registration Authority at the earliest possible date.
