201. Deputy Nicky McFadden asked the Minister for Health if he will ensure that health centres in the Dublin-mid Leinster region, including Athlone, Moate and Ballymahon will continue to operate; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6463/13]
View answerThe key objective of the Primary Care Strategy is to develop services in the community which will give people direct access to integrated multi-disciplinary teams of general practitioners, nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and others.
The HSE has responsibility for the provision of Primary Care Centres and the maintenance of existing health centres. Therefore, this matter has been referred to the HSE for attention and direct reply to the Deputy.
