Deputy Brendan Ryan asked the Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources if he will provide an update on the operation of the Eirgrid interconnector in Rush, County Dublin; if all testing of the line has been completed and all acknowledged localised issues been dealt with; and if he will make a statement on the matter. This is an operational matter for the company involved and I, as Minister, have no role or function in this regard. However, my Department has requested that EirGrid, which has statutory responsibility for the East West Interconnector, will furnish further information directly to the Deputy.
