508. Deputy Mary Lou McDonald asked the Minister for Children and Youth Affairs if she will provide in tabular form a breakdown of the annual saving to the public sector pay bill if non-commercial State agency pay was capped at €100,000. [15963/13]
View answerMy Department does not generally hold information relating to the salaries of individual employees of the various agencies operating under the Department's remit and, accordingly, the information requested by the Deputy is not readily available. Officials of my Department have requested the specific information required and this will be forwarded to the Deputy as soon as it is available. The Deputy should note that this information will relate to gross savings as my Department will not be in a position to provide details of the net savings to the Exchequer as this would require an examination of the tax and other statutory deductions applicable for each individual employee.
