569. Deputy Robert Dowds asked the Minister for Health the number of cases of breast cancer detected in each of the Health Service Executive regions for the past three years for which data is available. [15113/13]

The National Cancer Registry is the statutory body with responsibility for, inter alia, the collection and analysis of information relating to the incidence of cancer in Ireland. The data requested by the Deputy is presented in the table below and refers to female breast cancer. Final data is available from 2008 – 2010. Data for 2011 is provisional. HSE region is determined on the basis of the patient's area of residence.
