Deputy Catherine Murphy asked the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government if he will provide the total revenue generated in respect of each of the motor tax vehicle emissions bands in each year since 2009 and to date in 2013; and if he will make a statement on the matter. View answerThe revenue (excluding in respect of arrears) generated in respect of the motor tax vehicle emissions bands from 2009 to the end of February 2013 is set out in Table 1 below. Table 2 gives a breakdown of revenue for the newly structured A and B bands for the period from January to February 2013. A breakdown of arrears by band is not readily available, and Table 3 sets out the total amount of arrears paid in respect of the CO2 bands for the period from 2009 to the end of February 2013.
