Deputy Éamon Ó Cuív asked the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government the steps being taken to enforce the regulation that all telecommunication lines have to have a clearance of 22 ft over the road level; the authority or authorities with responsibility for enforcing this regulation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. There is no such provision in planning legislation and I have no information about such a Regulation. This matter may come under the remit of the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport or the Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources.
