1084. Deputy Sandra McLellan asked the Minister for Children and Youth Affairs the cost incurred by her Department, in respect of this year’s overseas travel programme for St Patrick’s Day; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16603/13]
View answerAs part of the Government's St Patrick's Day Programme, which presents a significant opportunity for the promotion of the country, including with respect to tourism and trade: I visited the four cities of New Delhi, Calcutta, Pune and Chennai in India. The cost incurred by my Department to date is €5,746.07. The trip took place between the period of 13 March 2013 to 21 March 2013. I used the opportunity of my visit to address important current issues in the area of intercountry adoption.. A final figure will be available once all invoices have been received and processed.
