Deputy Pearse Doherty asked the Minister for Education and Skills if he will provide an update of the progress of the application for an extension in respect of a school (details supplied) in County Donegal; when his Department first received an application for this extension; when works are expected to commence; and if he will make a statement on the matter. View answerAn application for additional accommodation was received by my Department in July 2012 from the school referred to by the Deputy. The School Authority was allocated funding in August 2012 under Additional Accommodation Scheme for the provision of one mainstream classroom, toilet upgrade and conversion works.
The School Authority has advised my Department's Planning and Building Unit that building works commenced on site in February 2013.
