View answerResidence in Ireland for the purposes of pursuing education is not reckonable for other immigration permissions such as long term residence and is specifically excluded from consideration in naturalisation applications by Section 16A(1)(b) of the the Irish Nationality and Citizenship Act 1956 (as amended).
