The competition for the appointment of a director of the National Museum of Ireland is being managed by the Public Appointments Service. It is envisaged that the interviews for this post will take place in the coming weeks. The timeframe for the appointment by the Board of the National Museum is a function, inter alia, of that interview process, and it would not be appropriate to set out that timeline at this juncture in order to assure the integrity of the process.
