Durkan asked the Minister for Social Protection further to Parliamentary Question No. 152 of 18 April 2013, if she will review the decision to refuse exceptional needs payment in the case of a person (details supplied) in County Kildare; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The person concerned submitted an application for an exceptional needs payment on the 08 April 2013 which was refused. It is open to the person concerned to seek a review of this decision from the relevant supplementary welfare allowance review officer.
