Deputy Catherine Murphy asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the number of members of staff in his Department that are employed on temporary contracts; the way such members of staff have been employed on a temporary contract basis; the pay grades that the temporary staff members occupy; and if he will make a statement on the matter. View answerOne Assistant Secretary General and one Principal Officer have been re-hired on a part-time, contract basis which are due to expire at the end of the EU Presidency on 28 June 2013. Payments are calculated on a daily rate taking into account normal pension abatement rules. Three temporary Forestry Inspectors, Grade 3 are employed on a fixed term contract which is due to expire October 2013.
