Deputy Caoimhghín Ó Caoláin asked the Minister for Health if he will set out in an itemised way his Department's spending to date on outside contracts for legal and other advice on his proposed extension of free general practitioner care initially to long-term illness patients and subsequently to all; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The legal advice on the proposed phased extension of free general practitioner care was provided to the Department by the Attorney General's Office and not through an external legal advice source.
