Deputy Alan Farrell asked the Minister for Education and Skills if an action plan will commence within his Department based on the findings of the School Completers - What's Next report highlighting the low college participation rate for school leavers in designated disadvantaged areas; and if he will make a statement on the matter. A new National Plan for Equity of Access to Higher Education (2014-2019) is currently being prepared by the National Access Office for my Department. The findings of the School Completers - What's Next report will be considered in the context of this new Access Plan.
