Questions (484)

Maureen O'Sullivan

Question:

484. Deputy Maureen O'Sullivan asked the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government if his attention has been drawn to the operation of filling stations that have a licence and are not in breach of licensing conditions, which occupy sites immediately contiguous to national primary routes which would otherwise be motorways, sometimes occupying those locations on foot of decisions that have been criticised in Tribunal reports and in the court, for example, filling stations on the N4 in west Dublin; in view of the fact that motorways service stations are operational, if he anticipates that these legacy filling stations will continue to operate indefinitely; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
