603. Deputy Billy Timmins asked the Minister for Children and Youth Affairs the position with respect to the C case; the number of girls in the care of the State that applied to the court for permission to travel for an abortion for each year from 1998 to date; the number taken to Britain or elsewhere for an abortion following a court decision, following testimony from a psychiatrist for the State that they were suicidal for each year from 1998 to date; the psychiatrist involved on each occasion; the number of girls in State care who were refused permission to travel for an abortion for each year from 1998 to date; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
