Questions (581)

Aodhán Ó Ríordáin

Question:

581. Deputy Aodhán Ó Ríordáin asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport if, noting the high level of unemployment for under 25 year olds and the fall in part time work available to those in full time education within the 16 to 25 age bracket, the reason school going children aged 16 or over are required to pay adult fare on Dublin Bus. The issue raised is a matter for Dublin Bus in conjunction with the National Transport Authority  (NTA) and I have forwarded the Deputy's question to the company for direct reply.  Please advise my private office if you do not receive a reply within ten working days.
