66. Deputy Michelle Mulherin asked the Minister for Finance the position regarding a wine licence application in respect of a premises (details supplied) in County Mayo; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [29802/13]
View answerI am informed by the Revenue Commissioners that a valid application for a Wine Retailer’s On Licence was received in respect of this applicant on 2nd May 2013. There followed a 30-day statutory period, which allows for potential objections. As there was no objection in this case a pay-notice issued to the trader on June 18th. Once payment is received, and there is a valid tax clearance certificate in place, a licence will issue within 3-5 working days.
