View answerAll payments of the internship allowance are made by the Department of Social Protection into the intern’s bank account. This top-up will be paid for the duration of the internship. The allowance is paid in arrears and normally participants receive this top-up allowance approximately 2 weeks after commencing on the Scheme. I wish to advise the Deputy that the person referred to in his question commenced his internship on 12 June 2013. His JobBridge top-up allowance and all arrears were paid by the Department on 4 July.
