Questions (260)

Pearse Doherty

Question:

260. Deputy Pearse Doherty asked the Minister for Finance if his attention has been drawn to a letter sent on 17 June from the National Asset Management Agency to a number of litigants in a case in New York, where the issue of Anglo Irish Bank overcharging interest on loans is being heard, the contents of which include an implicit threat to the litigants to cease their action or face potential loan foreclosure and receivership; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
