View answerApplications for approval to operate meat processing plants must meet the requirements of the European Communities (Food and Feed Hygiene) Regulations 2009 (S.I. 432 of 2009) and related EU Regulations. Such applications are dealt with expeditiously and where issues arise these are raised promptly with the applicant. The onus is on the applicant to meet the conditions of approval.
The applicant in this instance has been requested to provide clarification in relation to the proposed scale of activity. The application will be considered further upon receipt of this information.
