Deputy Simon Harris asked the Minister for Education and Skills if he has met with representatives of the Union of Students of Ireland as the representative body of many third level students here to hear their views and experiences of the challenges being faced by students and to ascertain their thoughts on the future of third level education here; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I met with the new USI President Joe O'Connor and representatives of the Union on Wednesday 24th July 2013 to exchange views and engage in discussion on relevant matters in third level education.
