610. Deputy Sean Fleming asked the Minister for Social Protection her plans in relation to retaining the half rate carer's allowance at its current rate; if she plans to change this payment; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [37539/13]

No decisions have yet been taken by the government in relation to social welfare expenditure for next year, and any such decisions in relation to specific social welfare schemes will be a matter for the Budget.
