Deputy Charlie McConalogue asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the total number of staff employed by Teagasc in 2011, 2012 and to date in 2013, broken down between administrative staff, advisory, research, farm and others; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The total number of staff working in Teagasc on 1st January for each respective year is as follows:

The distribution of staff is an operational matter for the Teagasc Authority to determine. Accordingly, the Deputy may wish to contact Teagasc directly for a more detailed reply.
