Deputy Catherine Murphy asked the Minister for Education and Skills if he will outline the correction procedure for State examinations; the review process within the initial marking procedures; the number of appeals of a final grade that have been lodged in each of the past five years broken down into the percentage of each of these that received a higher grade and those that received a lower grade on appeal; the steps that have been taken to reduce the number of appeals; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
