299. Deputy Michael Lowry asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the total number of disadvantaged areas scheme applications from farmers in County Tipperary; the total number of these that have been paid to date; the reason for the delay in the remainder of the cases; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Payments under the 2013 Disadvantaged Areas Scheme commenced, on schedule, on 25 September and, to date, payments worth €143.3 million have issued nationally, to some 67,538 applicants, with payments continuing to issue on a twice weekly basis, with individual cases being paid as they are confirmed eligible. The details in respect of payments which have issued to farmers in County Tipperary to date are set out in the table below.
