View answerThe question of Ireland’s signature and ratification of the Antarctic Treaty and related agreements has been examined in some detail by the relevant Departments and Offices concerned. The Department of Finance has not been involved in this process and has not carried out any cost benefit analysis to assess the impact of Ireland’s signing of the Treaty.
