Deputy John O'Mahony asked the Minister for Education and Skills the reason a person (details supplied) in County Mayo has been refused their fees under the free fees scheme in view of the fact that Student Universal Support Ireland has given written confirmation that their fees are covered under the free fees scheme; and if he will make a statement on the matter. In the case of the student referred to by the Deputy, I understand that Student Universal Support Ireland (SUSI) is reviewing her grant application and will be in contact with her in the near future.
