244. Deputy Eoghan Murphy asked the Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources in respect of the NewEra strategy, if he has devised a strategy for the payment of dividends by State-owned companies to the Exchequer for the next five years. [47785/13]
View answerLead responsibility for NewERA is a matter for the Minister for Finance. However, the general strategy for State owned energy companies, including matters relating to dividend, is a matter for agreement between those companies and the shareholding Ministers, the larger shareholding interest of which is held by the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform.
