In the first instance the issue should be raised directly with the relevant local authority in order to resolve the problem. However if the problem persists the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) operates an environmental complaints service through which it will investigate environmental problems highlighted by members of the public including complaints in relation to drinking water and water pollution. Details of how to make an environmental complaint are available at www.environ.ie or by contacting the EPA. Details in this regard are available on the Agency’s website at www.epa.ie/enforcement/report.
