View answerThe Consul General of Ireland to Atlanta visited the citizen referred to by the Deputy at the Land O'Lakes County Jail in Florida on 24th October 2013. Unfortunately, I cannot disclose further information to the Deputy as Consular visits are by their nature private and it would not be appropriate for me to make public any details of such a visit. I can assure the Deputy that the Consul General will continue to offer all appropriate consular assistance to the citizen concerned and that the Consular Assistance Section of my Department will continue to monitor this case very closely.
