Deputy Catherine Murphy asked the Minister for Children and Youth Affairs the distribution of funding provided to the youth service grant scheme, the special projects for youth scheme, the young people’s facilities and services fund rounds 1 and 2, the local drug task force projects, the youth information centres, and the local youth club grant scheme in 2013; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The Youth Affairs Unit of my Department provides a range of funding schemes and supports to the youth sector. In 2013 funding of some €53.498 million including €1.75m capital funding has been made available for these schemes to support the provision of youth services and programmes to young people throughout the country.

Details of the funding allocated in 2013 to the Youth Service Grant Scheme, the Special Projects for Youth Scheme, the Young People’s Facilities and Services Fund Rounds 1 and 2, the Local Drug Task Force Projects, Youth Information Centres and the Local Youth Club Grant Scheme are outlined hereunder.
