Deputy Luke 'Ming' Flanagan asked the Minister for Children and Youth Affairs if her Department is willing to provide further relief and support for those who adopt children here, in view of the low rate of adoption of Irish born children at the moment; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The Adoption (Amendment) Bill aims to provide, in a more effective and appropriate way, for the adoption of children of marriage. I intend to progress the Bill as soon as the proceedings and processes relevant to the Children's Referendum are concluded.
