Deputy Denis Naughten asked the Minister for Health the number of WTE and staff employed within his Department with a direct role in communications and-or public relations for either internal or external consumption; the number of consultancies and total cost for such services sourced outside of his Department; and if he will make a statement on the matter. There is a total of 7 WTE staff in my Department who have a direct role in communications and public relations. There have been no consultancies engaged to date in 2013 in respect of these functions.
