110. Deputy Michael Healy-Rae asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade the position regarding a certificat de coutume in respect of a person (details supplied) in County Kerry; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [52607/13]

Unfortunately, it is not possible for my Department to issue a letter as requested as we do not have access to the State's marriage records. Mr. Healy may wish to contact the General Register Office to seek a letter from them confirming there is no marriage record on file for him. My Department will then be happy to authenticate a letter issued by the General Register Office for use in South Africa.
