The Deputy will be aware that the child in question is not eligible for school transport under the terms of my Department's Post Primary School Transport Scheme. The terms of this scheme are applied equitably on a national basis.Children who are not eligible for school transport may avail of transport on a concessionary basis subject to a number of conditions including the payment of the annual contribution of €350. This payment may be made in two instalments in July and December. The family in question should liaise with their local Bus Éireann office if they wish to avail of transport on a concessionary basis.
