Deputy Tony McLoughlin asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport if his attention has been drawn to the logistical difficulties being experienced at Sligo Port; if funding will be allocated to facilitate the dredging of the port; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Sligo Harbour was transferred to  Sligo County Council control in 2006 and the funding of remedial works is therefore a matter for the Council.
