Deputy Lucinda Creighton asked the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform the total number of Irish quasi-autonomous NGOs his Department has either created or which fall under his Department’s responsibility and were in existence when he became Minister and continue to exist; and if he will make a statement on the matter. In response to the Deputy’s question there were no autonomous Non-Governmental Organisations (NGO’s) in existence under the remit of my Department when I became Minister and that continues to be the case today.
