The person named commenced REPS 4 in February 2008 and received payments for the first five years of their contract.

REPS 4 is a measure under the current 2007-13 Rural Development Programme and is subject to EU Regulations which require detailed administrative checks on all applications to be completed before any payments can issue. In November 2011 an adjusted Plan was received from the Agricultural Consultant of the person named outlining a change of status of 9.33 hectares of NATURA lands contained in the original Agri-environment Plan submitted to my Department in 2008. Consequently, in November 2013 a letter issued from my Department advising the person named of a clawback in respect of the 9.33 hectares of Natura designated lands and affording him the right of review by the Regional Inspector. Following the receipt of an appeal from the person named and additional material from the Agricultural Consultant, this matter is now the subject of a review by my officials and the person named will be notified of the outcome once the review has been completed. If he is dissatisfied with the outcome of the review, he will have the right of appeal to the Agriculture Appeals Office.
