205. Deputy Finian McGrath asked the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government if there is a scheme in his Department or between Dublin City Council and South Dublin County Council whereby a council tenant in the Clondalkin area may exchange their home as part of a move to the Artane area (details supplied). There is no provision in housing legislation in relation to households that wish to transfer from housing provided by one housing authority to that of another authority. The issue is therefore a matter for the authorities themselves and I am aware that some housing authorities facilitate mutual transfers by agreement on an informal basis.
