202. Deputy Michael McGrath asked the Minister for Finance the number of properties valued at greater than €1 million for purposes of the local property tax; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2460/14]
View answerThe Deputy will be aware that the Revenue Commissioners are continuing to refine the Local Property Tax (LPT) Register and that work will continue for some time. However I am advised that, based on the values declared by residential property owners in LPT Returns filed to date, there are approximately 3,600 properties valued at over €1m in the Register.
