187. Deputy Bernard J. Durkan asked the Minister for Justice and Equality the position regarding current residency status-eligibility for long-term residency-naturalisation in the case of a person (details supplied) in County Meath; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [3460/14]
View answerThe question of residency status or entitlement to consideration for naturalisation does not arise at this time in the case of the person whose details were supplied. As the Deputy is aware, if the person concerned has made an application for asylum or subsidiary protection, the position is that it is not the practice to comment on such applications for so long as they are in the protection process.
