Deputy Róisín Shortall asked the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government when application forms for the housing adaptation grant for persons with a disability and the housing aid for older persons scheme will be made available; and if he will make a statement on the matter. View answerThis time last year I signalled my intention to review the Suite of Grants for Older People and People with a Disability in order to target the grants to those in greatest need, spread the available resources as widely as possible and ensure greater fairness in their operation. The changes made are on foot of the report of the review group, established last year by my Department, to examine the terms and conditions governing the schemes. Revised application forms will issue to Local Authorities in the coming days.
