Deputy Éamon Ó Cuív asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine if farmers who applied for and were not accepted on the agri-environment options scheme in 2013 will be a priority group for acceptance in the green low-carbon agri-environment scheme; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The consultation process with stakeholders on the Rural Development Programme 2014-2020 is ongoing and final written submissions have been invited by the 19th February 2014. Final decisions on the GLAS Scheme, including selection criteria to be used, will be made following the completion of the consultation process.
