Deputy Michael McGrath asked the Minister for Education and Skills the exact numbers of adults taking part in language courses at night in respect of the ten most popular languages throughout Ireland, particularly at beginner level; and the action being taken to incentivise the public to upskill and learn new languages once they have left the education system. Adult Education, including language courses, are provided by a range of public and private providers. The Department does not collect data on the numbers of adults that undertake language courses at night.
