It is sufficient that a medical card holder supplies the Primary Care Reimbursement Service (PCRS) with the names of three doctors in their locality that on request have declined to accept them on to their GMS panel. Written confirmation from the doctors does not have to be provided to PCRS. Once this information is received, PCRS will undertake to assign the card holder to a GP.
